Properties: sligthly Cold, Acrid, Bitter. Channels: Large Intestine, Spleen, Stomach

Action and indication: Breaks up Qi stagnation: chest and abdominal fullness, etc. (Si Ni San, Da Chai Hu Tang)

Constipation with Qi or food stagnation. (Xiao Cheng Qi Tang)

Prolapse: gastric, rectal, uterine.

Caution: pregnancy, weak right Qi, Spleen and Stomach deficiency. Raises blood pressure.

Dose: 3-9 g
