Liquid Styrax Pill (su he xiang wan)

Chief: Su He Xiang, An Xi Xiang, She Xiang, Bing Pian

Deputy: Mu Xiang, Tan Xiang, Chen Xiang, Ru Xiang, Ding Xiang, Xiang Fu

Assistant: Bi Ba, Xi Jiao, Zhu Sha, Bai Zhu, He Zi

Pattern: (1) Windstroke due to Damp-Cold and turbid phlegm veiling the sensory orifices; (2) Qi stagnation or damp-Cold obstruction leading to collapse;  (3) Epidemic sudden turmoil disorder

Indications: (1) sudden collapse, loss of consciousness with clenched jaw (windstroke); (2) impending loss of consciousness with sensation of fullness, pain, and Cold in chest and abdomen; (3) abdominal pain and focal distention in chest with urge to vomit or defecate without doing either, which in severe cases may lead to sudden unconsciousness or coma.

All of the above are accompanied by a pale complexion, purple lips, excessive mucus and saliva, Cold extremities, a pale tongue with a slippery greasy coating and a submerged, slippery pulse.

Cautions and contraindications: Contraindicated during pregnancy. Not for long-term use (toxic).
