Envoy: Honey-fried Radix Glycyrrhizae Uralensis (zhi gan cao) .

Pattern: Incompletely resolved exterior with heat excess in the interior.

Indication: Fever, sweating, thirst, dysenteric diarrhea characterized by especially foul-smelling stools and a burning sensation around the anus, a sensation of irritability and heat in the chest and epigastrium, possible wheezing, a red tongue with yellow coating, and a rapid pulse.
