Pattern: Warm disease: Nutritive (Ying) Level Pericardium Heat; Phlegm-Fire Obstructing Heart Orifices

Indications: High fever, irritability, restlessness, delirious speech, impaired consciousness, a red or deep-red tongue, and a rapid pulse. Also for coma due to wind-stroke or childhood convulsions with similar presentation, and for stiffness of the tongue and frigid extremities.

Cautions and contraindications: Contraindicated during pregnancy.  Avoid long-term use (toxic).
